Suffering and Glory (Romans 8:12-28)

It is hard many times to see that suffering and glory have strong relationship in our lives. Biblically, there is a beautiful relationship. Today, Paul reminds us that the victory Jesus won was not over suffering, but rather through suffering.

No Condemnation (Romans 8:1-11)

Romans 8 is one the greatest single chapters in our Bibles. Paul is beginning to fulling develop his statements in chapter 8. We, the people of God, are to be people no longer in dwelt by sin, but rather the Spirit.

The Dimensions of Salvation (Romans 6:22-23)

John Wesley saw three dimensions of salvation in Romans 6:22. 1) Freed from sin 2) Freed from the plague of sin (sanctification) 3) Eschatologically free from all evidence of sin (eternal life).

United with Christ (Romans 6:1-11)

Paul draws from his understanding of the Old Testament as he writes to the Romans. The Exodus is a central story in the lives of the people of God. God set his people free from the slavery of Egypt. Through Christ, God set his people free from the slavery of sin. Today, we explore these parallels.

Because of God's Love (Romans 5:1-5)

Romans 5 reminds us to "rejoice in our sufferings, knowing that suffering produces endurance, and endurance produces character, and character produces hope..."

Righteousness of God (Romans 3:21-31)

We are in darkness and we desperately need the light.

The Exchange of Truth (Romans 1:25)

One of the core issues in our lives is summed up in a statement in Romans 1:25. "...they exchanged the truth about God for a lie and worshiped and served the creature rather than the Creator..." How have we, as people created by our Father, worshipped and served the creature rather than our Father?
