John

"I have seen the Lord" (John 20:1-18)

It is Easter Sunday and a time to celebrate the resurrection of our Lord. Join us this morning as we remember the resurrection through the baptism of a new believer.

Two "At One" (1 John 2:1-6)

Our sixth Article of Faith states, "We believe that Jesus Christ, by His sufferings, by the shedding of His own blood, and by His death on the Cross, made a full atonement for all human sin, and that this Atonement is the only ground of salvation, and that it is sufficient for every individual of Adam’s race."

Knowing the Father (John 14:6-27)

We have a desire to know God. If we believe Jesus- then we know Jesus' actions in the gospels are God's actions. "If you have seen me, then you have seen the Father."

The Church as Tribe (John 17:15-23)

There are many ways to describe the church. 'Tribe' means that we are close, like a family. It says that we are in this together and we have a common task.

The Church as Intersection (John 4:7-42)

Worship is an intimate, supernatural, and ongoing reunion with the heavenly Father who created us.

The Word Became Flesh (John 1:1-14, 18)

The Epilogue to John's Gospel is one of the greatest pieces of scripture. John tries to capture the cosmic nature of the Divine coming to earth.

The Grace-Full Church (John 13:31-35)

This sermon is one that God has been dealing with me about for some time now. I believe that God wants to do awesome things with Gardendale Church of the Nazarene. We as a church, must be a people of grace. We must be a people open to what God desires of us. It is my prayer that this sermon helps remind us of the need for the church in the world.
